Two days later, the guys from Central Heat and Air installed our new heat pump and did a really thorough and professional job. After the install was completed, they stuck around to make sure everything was working properly and that we were getting correct air flow from all the registers. We will definitely be working with them to handle all of the maintenance on our new unit and would recommend them highly to anyone in need of HVAC service. Great company, great people!”

“Our American standard heat pump was on its final journey and the weather started heating up. We called Central heat and air and they had someone come out the same day. It was determined that our air conditioner was just too old to keep repairing. The correct Unit was not in stock, but the gentleman offered to leave 4:30 in the morning for Knoxville and pick up a unit and bring it back for installation the next day. This was what they did. We also had a new thermostat installed of which I need to figure out all the features. All in all we were very happy with the speed and professionalism and accuracy of the project. Then about a month after installation, we received a small gift basket from them in the mail, Thanking us for our business and making sure we felt appreciated. I mean, who does that? I know the owner and founder of the company and they do focus on getting it right and getting it done fast. I can also say they pick up the phone when you call them which is pretty nice.”

Josh and Justin did the installation on a dark and stormy day. I was impressed on their attention to small details like not tracking mud into the house by changing on and off their foot covers. They seemed very deliberate in working together to move the old air handler and outside unit. They cleaned up the area and were respectful of our home. Josh wanted to make sure we knew how the new thermostat worked. Both installers were very personable and friendly. They moved a basketball pop-a-shot into storage area for which was helpful since my wife and I could move it without help. I was very impressed with the installation from start to finish. Especially the next day when we got up and immediately noticed the difference in temperature comfort throughout the house. Appreciate the great job in putting it all together.”

“Terry is super friendly and helpful. He showed me where to put clorox monthly to avoid clogs and stop breeding weird bacteria like Legion air Disease. If the air conditioner drip line is not dripping during AC season, I’ll have to put in more. Usually 1/2 cup each month is sufficient. We have a maintenance contract, so in the fall the heater is checked and in about 6 months the air conditioner. I also learned a good bit about the outside coils for the air conditioner. Maintain the black. Never use a power washer as they are too powerful and can bend the fins. Do not use harsh chemicals to get them clean. Use regular water pressure hose. Spray perpendicular to the unit so as to flush out the fins without bending them.”

“When I noticed that the condenser fan on my heat pump was no longer turning, I knew it had to be fixed. I called Central Heat & Air, was connected right away, and was told that a technician could come out the same day. Terry called me soon after that, and let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he quickly and accurately determined that the fan motor and capacitor needed to be replaced. He was able to acquire the parts locally, and had the unit repaired within a very few hours. Terry was very personable, and explained what he was doing every step of the repair. I am VERY pleased with Central Heat & Air’s response to my need. They will definitely be my go-to place for all heat and air work I need done in the future.”

“Tony’s crew removed two ancient HVAC units (33 and 26 year old units) from the home I recently bought, and installed two shiny new 3 ton units. The home is perfect but the HVAC was on its last legs. Matt came out (he’s a gem!) and inspected the systems, evaluated the need, and helped me select what I needed for the replacement. Josh, Justin, Austin and Larry did excellent work delivering and installing the new units and cleaned up spotlessly after themselves. You’d never know they were there except now I have shiny new units in place of the rusting clunkers. I would expect no less from this company. I’ve worked with them for several years, through three homes, and they’ve always done great work and always been very responsive, including the guys in the field as well as the office staff. They are the type of company that when they come to do the bi-annual maintenance, or to replace the unit, they always leave as friends. Of course, Mom is partial to Doc, and Frank is a close second!! All of the gentlemen who have come out for whatever reason are always courteous and explain what they are doing and never seem in a hurry! We also use Central Air & Heat for our home and we can not recommend them highly enough! I also want to give a 5 star rating to the women who run the office!
